Questions, answered

How big is it?

It's 11.1 in (28.3 cm) long and 2.4 in (6 cm) across the wires: an everyday size for mixing bowls, from two eggs to a batch of pancake batter.

Can it whip cream?

Yes, by hand. Use cold cream in a bowl and whisk quickly; it takes a few minutes of steady whisking to reach soft peaks. For big batches or stiff meringue, an electric mixer is faster.

Can I use it in a non-stick pan?

It's best in bowls, jugs and stainless steel pans. The wires are steel, so they can scratch a non-stick coating.

Will the wooden handle hold up to washing?

Wood and long soaks don't mix. Wash it by hand, dry it straight away and keep it out of the dishwasher, and the beech handle stays in good shape.

Does it hang up?

Yes. There's a hole at the end of the handle, so it hangs from a hook or utensil rail by the stove.
