Questions, answered
Are batteries included?
No. It runs on 4 AAA batteries, which aren't in the box. They fit under the cap at the top.
Can it grind salt as well as pepper?
Yes. Fill it with whole peppercorns or dry coarse salt. Use one grinder per spice, or grind it empty before you switch. Damp salt can clog it, so keep it to dry spices.
How do I change from fine to coarse?
Turn the dial on the underside: one way for a finer grind, the other for a coarser crack. Give it a test press over a plate until it's how you like it.
Does it come filled?
No, it arrives empty. Flip open the clear side window and fill it with the peppercorns or coarse salt you already like.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the outside with a dry or slightly damp cloth. To change spices, grind it empty and brush out the window. Don't rinse it under the faucet or put it in the dishwasher.
