How it works

  1. 1

    Freeze it

Keep the rod in the freezer for a couple of hours before use.

  2. 2

    Pour, then insert

Pour the first glass, then slide the rod in until the seal sits snug.

  3. 3

    Pour through it

Serve straight through the spout. Rinse and refreeze after.

Is it right for you?

Great for

  • White and rosé wines
  • Summer hosting and picnics
  • Anyone who hates ice in their wine

Not for

  • Chilling a warm bottle from room temperature fast
  • Sparkling wine (it doesn't seal in the fizz)

Questions, answered

Will it chill a warm bottle?

It's made to keep a chilled bottle cold, not to cool a room-temperature one quickly. Start with a bottle from the fridge, then let the frozen rod keep it cool on the table.

How long should I freeze it?

A couple of hours in the freezer is enough. Keep it in there between bottles so it's always ready.

Will it fit my bottle?

The tapered rubber seal is made to fit standard wine bottle necks. Pour the first glass before inserting it so the bottle doesn't overflow.

Can I use it with red wine?

Yes, if you like your red slightly cool. It's made with white and rosé in mind.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry, then pop it back in the freezer.
