Questions, answered
Will it light a candle deep in a jar?
Yes, that's what the long, flexible neck is for. Bend it so the tip sits next to the wick, press the button and it's lit, with your fingers well clear of the hot glass.
How do I charge it?
Plug the included USB cable into the lighter and any USB port or phone charger. The small lights on the handle show the battery level.
Can it go off by accident in a drawer?
It has a two-step switch: slide to unlock, then press to make the arc. That stops it firing by accident in a drawer or bag. Still keep it well out of children's reach.
Does it use butane or fluid?
No. It makes a small electric arc instead of a flame, powered by its rechargeable battery, so there's nothing to refill.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, for grills and fire pits: a breeze doesn't blow the arc out the way it does a flame. Keep it dry and don't use it in the rain.
